When you come down from the pass towards the fjord, one must first have a bold cape between the bay and the fjord Njarðvík circle on a unpaved road also. Above is an erosion slope, the Njarðvíkurskríður is called. Today the site in comparison to earlier times is relatively safe because the road is expanded wide enough.
