Borgetto
Borgetto is a city in the province of Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, with 7189 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Borgetto located 28 kilometers west of Palermo. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.
The neighboring municipalities are Giardinello, Monreale and Partinico.
History
The town was founded in the 9th century by the Arabs. The name in Arabic means small tower. The place belonged since 1410 to the now defunct monastery of Santa Maria delle Ciambre.

From the Sanctuary Romitello one has a view of the Gulf of Castellammare.
