Borgio Verezzi

Borgio Verezzi ( in Ligurian: Borzi - Verésso ) is a municipality with 2298 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Savona Liguria region.

Geography

Borgio Verezzi situated on the Riviera di Ponente in the Palm Riviera and is part of the Comunità Montana Pollupice. The community is located 28 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Savona and about 70 km southwest of Genoa. To the north, a few miles inland, the mountains reach an altitude of over 1,000 meters.

Borgio Verezzi is located in a seismically active zone little. According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity, the community of Zone 3 was assigned.

Climate

The climate is temperate maritime. The municipality is classified under category C air. The number of degree days has a value of 1.360, which means that in Italy legally regulated heating season is between November 15 and March 31 for 10 hours per day.
