Boris Andreyev (actor)

Boris Fedorovich Andreev (Russian Борис Фёдорович Андреев; * 27 Januarjul / February 9 1915greg in Saratov, .. † April 25, 1982 in Moscow) was a Soviet film actor.

Life

Andreyev was born into a working class family. He grew up in Atkarsk and worked as an electrician. In his spare time he played theaters and was discovered here by actor Ivan Slonow. He recommended him to the stage pilot plant of Saratov, the Andreyev finally in 1937 successfully completed. He then played for a year at the theater in Saratov and was brought in 1938 by Ivan Pyrjew to Moscow. Andreyev started working as an actor for the Mosfilm. His film debut was in 1939 Pyrjews Young Life.

Andreyev was one of the most active actors of the Mosfilm in the 1940s. Especially frequently he joined in character roles in appearance and has won several awards. On the second Allunionsfestival Andreyev 1959 was awarded 1st prize for his role in Poem of the Sea. For a large family, he received in 1955 in the team at the International Film Festival of Cannes award for Best Actor. On the San Francisco International Film Festival Andreyev 1963 for Optimistic Tragedy for Best Supporting Actor received the Golden Gate Award. In the years 1948 and 1950 Andreyev was awarded the State Prize of the USSR. In 1962 he received an honorary title People's Artist of the USSR was awarded.

Andreyev, who also worked as a voice actor in the 1970s, died in Moscow in 1982 and was buried at the local cemetery Wagankowoer.
