Boris Henry

Boris Obergföll ( born December 14, 1973 in Völklingen as Boris Henry ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic athlete who was successful since the 1990s in the javelin. After an injury in 2004, he ended his athletic career.

Sports career

He won the bronze medal at the World Championships twice (1995, 2003) and one bronze medal at the European Championships in Munich in 2002. He was German champion in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2004. His personal best is 90.44 meters (Linz, Austria ). Since 1 October 2008, he is javelin discipline coach for the men A-/B-Kader the German Athletics Federation (DLV ). He's since September 2013 javelin thrower Christina Obergföll whose coach he is and with whom he lived previously, married and adopted her surname.

Successes in detail

Boris Obergföll launched 05 Saarbrücken for the SV Saar. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 115 kg. Boris Obergföll was a soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr Mainz and student at the private German University for Prevention and Health Management in Saarbrücken in the "Bachelor in Health Economics ". At the 2004 Summer Olympics he suffered a dislocation of the right shoulder and had to have surgery. He then finished his career as an athlete.
