Boris Juraga

Boris Juraga is an American art director and production designer who won an Oscar for Best Production Design.

Life

Juraga began his career as an art director and production designer in the film industry in 1959 with the film La cento chilometri and worked until 1980 at the scenic amenities of twelve films.

In 1964 he won with John DeCuir, Jack Martin Smith, Hilyard M. Brown, Herman A. Blumenthal, Elven Webb, Maurice Pelling, Walter M. Scott, Paul S. Fox and Ray Moyer Academy Award for Best Production Design in a color film, namely for the epic film Cleopatra (1963 ) by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Rex Harrison in the lead roles.
