Boris Kočí

Boris Kočí ( born October 9, 1964 in Pribram ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Kočí began playing football at UD Pribram, 1985, he joined the first league to Sparta Prague. He did not belong to the starting eleven and came in two years to 17 inserts. From 1988 to 1990 played the midfielder for the Prague second division Xaverov. Then he returned to the 1st League and joined FC Bohemians Prague, where he played regularly.

In early 1993, moved to Kočí Slovan Liberec, according to the 1995/96 season, which he spent with his former youth club FC Pribram in the second league, he ended his professional career. He played in the amateur nor for the SK Český Brod and SK Horni Mecholupy.

Coaching career

Kocis first coach station were from 1996 to 1999 the juniors of the Prague club FSC Libuš. In the summer of 1999, he became the junior Slavia Prague, in October, he was coach of the B team of Slavia in the third division CFL, after one year he was released. Beginning of 2001, the former midfielder coach at fourth division FC Rokycany, in October 2002, he was released there.

A few days later, he was hired as assistant coach of the first division club FC Viktoria Plzeň and took over at the same time the B team in the CFL. In January 2004 he moved to the B- team of Sparta Prague. In the fall of 2005, he was assistant coach in the pros of Sparta, in January 2006, he returned as head coach for the B team.

For the 2006/07 season Kočí took over as coach at second division FK Banik Sokolov, but was released in September because of poor results. In January 2008, he took Stanislav Griga as an assistant coach to Viktoria Zizkov. For the 2009/10 season he was an assistant coach at FC Banik Ostrava.
