Borki, Opole Voivodeship

Borrek (Polish: Borki ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Borrek located in the municipality in the United Döbern powiat Opolski in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

Borrek in 1724 first mentioned.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 142 voters voted to remain in Germany and 75 for Poland. Borrek remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 473 inhabitants in the village. On 19 May 1936, the place in grove was O.S. renamed. On April 1, 1939 Grove was incorporated to Kloster Bruck. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Borki and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 22 April 2009 the Borrek was in the village of Great Döbern, belongs, introduced German as a second official language on 1 December 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Borrek.
