Bornem is a municipality in the district of the Belgian province of Antwerp and Mechelen counts 20,866 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). The municipality is situated on the right bank of the Scheldt to the community Temse, is connected to the Bornem means of a bridge, which is part of the national road N16.
