Borough of Boston

Boston is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Lincolnshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Boston, in around half of the population lives.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the original Borough of Boston and the Boston Rural District. This previously belonged both to Holland, one of the existing 1889 to 1974 the administrative county.
