Borough of Stafford

Stafford is an administrative district with the status of a borough in the county of Staffordshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Stafford, in around half of the population of the district lives. Other important towns are Barlaston, Eccleshall, Gnosall and Stone.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough Stafford, Stone of the Urban District and Rural District Stafford and Stone.
