Geography
Bortshausen lies at the foot of the mountain woman. About the neighboring villages Ronhausen and Ebsdorf the city of Marburg and the Ebsdorfergrund can be reached within minutes.
History
The Protestant church, originally Gothic, was expanded in 1900 to a tower, and a neo-gothic nave.
On December 31, 1971, until then an independent city was incorporated into the municipality of Cappel. This came on 1 July 1974 Marburg.
