Boscolo Hotels

The Boscolo Group SpA is an international Italian hotel and tourism group. Based in Padua Group comprises three divisions Boscolo Hotels, Travel and Boscolo Boscolo food with which it does business in the hospitality industry, in the travel industry and in catering. The Boscolo Group employs around 2,000 people and generated 2007 sales of 240 million euros. The company is wholly owned by four brothers and co-founder Angelo, Giorgio, Rossano and Romano Boscolo.

Field of activity

The Boscolo Hotels division focuses as a hotel chain heavyweight on homes with historic ambience and comprises a total of 21 five-and four -star hotels. The following five-star hotel of the Boscolo Hotels group includes: The New York Palace in Budapest; the Carlo IV in Prague ( a former bank building that later served as the main post office ); Aleph in Rome; the Exedra in Rome in Piazza della Repubblica, built by the famous Roman founder -time architect Gaetano Koch (1849-1910); the Dei Dogi in Venice ( the former Palazzo Rizzo Patarol, once the seat of the French Embassy ) and the Exedra Nice in Nice. History

The family business was founded in 1978 by the brothers and their father Boscolo Bruno in Venice. They took first in the Hotel Airone Sottomarina, a district of Chioggia. 1980 followed by the establishment of Boscolo Tours, and thus the entry in the travel industry. In 1985, the Istituto Superiore Arti Culinarie Etoile was founded. Over the years, several hotels were taken over, so In 1989, the historic Hotel Bellini in Venice. Further acquisitions of existing houses followed in the 1990s with a focus on Italy. In 1993, the brand was created Boscolo Hotels.
