Bosnia and Herzegovina national under-19 football team

The Bosnia-Herzegovina U-19 National Team is the official selection of the best U-19 football players from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

History

EM 1998, Cyprus

The first participation in a U-18 Football Championship in 1998 denied the Bosnian U-19 national team from 1997 to 1998. They lost all three group games, did not score and was thus the last.

EM 1999 Sweden

In the U-18 Football Championship 1999, the Bosnian U-19 national team was surprisingly first in Group 10 with Switzerland and Lithuania. The first goal and victory in a European Championship qualifier against Lithuania achieved Bosnia.

In the second round, the team met with Portugal. The first game went 2-1 to Portugal, in the second game, the Portuguese showed no weakness and defeated the Bosnian U-19 national team 4-1. Portugal eventually won the U-19 European Championship.

Euro 2008 Czech Republic

The next major success after a long dry spell came in the qualifications for the U-19 European Football Championships 2008. During the qualification round you won against Greece, Poland and Montenegro as group runners through and reached the Elite round.

In the elite round teams from England, Scotland and Slovakia were just a bit too big for the Bosnian - Herzegovinian national football team. With three losses there was a departure from the elite round.

EURO 2009 Ukraine

The qualifications for the U-19 Football Championship 2009 was the U-19 selection, the qualifying round. It brought you the element of surprise first place ahead of the teams from Northern Ireland, Iceland and Bulgaria

In order for the youth team is entitled to participate in the elite round from 1 March to 31 May 2010.
