Bosnia Vilayet
The Vilayet was an Ottoman vilayet of Bosnia, based mainly on the territory of present-day state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the Today A split between Serbia and Montenegro, Sanjak of Novi Pazar. The capital city was Sarajevo ( Turkish Saraybosna ), the area of the vilayet was 59,000 km ².
History
The vilayet was created in 1864 as part of the Tanzimat administration reform ( Teşkil -i Vilayet Nizamnâmesi ) from the Eyalet Bosnia. It could not be said that already 1878, the vilayet under Austrian financial sovereignty its independence from Austria - Hungary. In 1908, the province was finally annexed as part of the Bosnian annexation crisis of Austria - Hungary.
