Boss's Day

The Boss Day is not a national holiday, which is celebrated in the U.S. and Canada each year on 16 October. On this day, employees usually like to thank you for the nice and fair dealing, the superiors they have in the past year can be bestowed. The holiday was and it is the occasion for controversy and harsh criticism.

History

Patricia Bays Haroski let the Boss Day in 1958, register with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She worked at that time for an insurance company and chose October 16 because it was the birthday of her boss. Bays Haroski was employed by her father.
