The Schulbiologiezentrum Hanover is a regional environmental education center with headquarters in the castle district of Hanover. It is and supported by the City of Hannover ( by teachers seconded hours) from the state of Lower Saxony. Other locations include the Botanical Garden School in Linden -Mitte, the open-air school Castle and the Zoo School in Hanover Zoo.

Structure and target groups

The facility is divided into four departments:

  • Botanical School Garden Burg ( same office)
  • Outdoor Schulenburg
  • Zoo School Hannover Hannover Zoo
  • Botanical Garden School Linden ( Lage52.36239.7 ), 1920 originated in a Tonkuhle on Lindener mountain. There are lessons in and about the garden. School classes have their own plots. There is on a slope the single vineyard of Hanover.

In addition to a variety of courses for student teacher training courses and Sunday programs for parents and their children are offered. These are used every year by thousands of visitors from schools, kindergartens, training colleges, student groups and others.
