Bothenheilingen

Bothenheilingen is a municipality in Unstrut Hainich in Thuringia. It belongs to the administrative community Schlotheim, which has its headquarters in the city Schlotheim.

Geography

Bothenheilingen is located about twelve kilometers (direct distance ) east of the county town of Mühlhausen / Thuringia. The place belongs to the group of once 9 Heilingen places ( Kirchheilingen, Issersheilingen, Neunheilingen and the waste places of the Old Heilingen, Appen Heilingen, Otten Heilingen, Wolf Heilingen, and wishes Heilingen ) to the Heilinger heights on the north western edge of the Thuringian Basin.

The Gallows ( 309.4 m above sea level. NN ) in the north is the highest peak of the hallway and an old courthouse square. The hills Gotternscher Herzberg ( 241.5 m above sea level. NN ), Bothe Heilinger Herzberg ( 230.2 m above sea level. NN ) and Welsbacher Herzberg ( 230.5 m above sea level. NN ) form an approximately 100 meters measured ground level to the southern foothills of the Unstruttal. The highs are made of more resistant shell, the south adjacent site was constructed from lighter verwitterndem Keuper rocks.

The Farming village is surrounded by pastures, corn and vegetable fields. Through the town of Bach " basic trench ," the villagers " oil Bach" call flows. It rises northwest of the community.

History

Farmers found when creating a rent a younger Bronze Age hoard of six swords that originate from the southwestern European countries. It is believed that it is a treasure laid down.

The place Bothenheilingen was first documented in 1143.

1816 came Bothenheilingen to the circle Langensalza the Prussian province of Saxony.
