Boudinage

Boudinage ( according to French boudin for blood sausage) referred to in geology a certain type of rock fabric. This structure is created which banks are divided into separate individual structure units ( so-called Boudin ) for which an edge- rounded, ellipsoidal shape is typical, and are finally completely surrounded by the previously adjacent rock by the strain of banked rocks. Often found between individual Boudin deposited minerals (eg calcite or quartz).
