Boule bretonne

Boule Bretonne in Brittany very popular ball sport (see boules ). There are regional differences in rules.

Boule Bretonne is played in lanes with bands that are 3 to 4 feet wide 16 to 20 feet long and generally.

The balls are made of wood or synthetic, have a diameter between 90 and 120 mm and are between 500 g and 1 kg. The target ball ( Cochonnet, the " pig " ) is made of wood, synthetic or brass and has a diameter of 30 to 40 mm.

Boule Bretonne is played in the formations doublet, triplet and quad Save. The number of nodules per formation varies in the regions.

As with other boules games, it is the goal, in the passages or shooting more balls in the vicinity of the target ball to place than the opposing team. Each detail placed ball counts one point. It is played to ten or twelve points.
