Bousbach

Bousbach ( German: Buschbach ) is a commune with 1121 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Forbach, in the canton of Behren- lès -Forbach and the Local Government Association, Forbach Porte de France.

Geography

Bousbach is about five kilometers southeast of Forbach and thus close to the border of the Saarland.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1296 as Busbach. Other names were Buezbach ( 1429), Bursbach ( 1544) and Bousebach (1756 ).
