Boussingault (crater)

Boussingault is an impact crater in the extreme south of the Moon front, southwest of Helmholtz and northeast of Boguslawsky. The rim is very badly eroded. The crater interior is superimposed for the most part of the secondary craters located therein Boussingault A.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the French chemist Jean -Baptiste Boussingault.
