History
The original Latin name Buetium points to an ancient settlement. In fact, numerous findings already point to a settlement in the late Bronze Age. The actual village Bovezzo has a medieval origin. Until the conquest by Napoleon, the settlement in the Renaissance was ruled by the Venetian Republic. The Accademia Musicale Giovanni Gabrieli has its seat here since 1979.
