Bow Church DLR station

Bow Church is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 2 at the Bow Road in Bow district. About two hundred meters further west the station is Bow Road London Underground.

The station was opened on 31 August 1987, together with the branch line towards Stratford. During the heyday of the Docklands was almost at the same location the Bow of the North London Railway Station. Opened on September 26, 1850 station had to be closed on May 15, 1944, when the route after numerous air raids by the German Luftwaffe had become impassable. During construction of the DLR route torn down the unused station. The DLR station was a few meters away on the other side of the road underpass.
