Bowery Ballroom

The Bowery Ballroom is a former ballroom on the Bowery neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It is mainly used for concerts and is one of the most important stages for Independent Artists in New York.

Located on Delancey Street building was built in 1929, shortly before the Black Friday. By the end of the Second World War, the building was empty, then here existed a retail store. As the area degenerated into the building, the shop had to close. As part of the gentrification of the neighborhood finally 1997, the Bowery Ballroom was opened.

In front of the Ballroom is the Bowery Station station of the New York City Subway.
