Box Bar Stadium

The Box Bar Stadium in Banjul, the capital of the West African state of Gambia, is used for local sports and cultural events. The dirt course lies at the Box Bar Road ( another name Wallace Cole Road) near the King Fahad Mosque. The square has been used in previous years until the Independence Stadium was built in the early 1980s, when the National Stadium.

1952, the first cup competition was held here. In the finals of the GFA Cup, the Gambia and United Augustians Bathurst stood against. The final match, which was held on July 5 at the Box Bar Stadium, won the Gambia United 2-1.
