Boxset
A box set (also Box Set, English box set written ) is a compilation of several CDs or DVDs, which is sold in a special package and is intended for collectors in the first place.
Formats
In the packaging there are two variants:
- A book-like CD Binder in the format of 14 cm × 25 cm, consisting of wells for three to four CDs or DVDs, and a multi- page booklet in the same format that is bound to either the cover or shipped loose. A special form is the Earbook in which the book character is even more pronounced.
- A cardboard slipcase that holds three or four slices with Jewel Case ( jewel cases ) and possibly has a hinged lid.
Content concepts
- It summarizes CDs that are also in the same form individually commercially available and include the original cover or covers.
- There is a new music or video material (or a combination of the two ) together, the long -time fans of the performers who already have all previous publications, unpublished material offer (B- sides from previous vinyl singles, demos, new mixes (Remix ) or unreleased tracks that had no place on previous studio albums )
- A compilation of the best or most successful titles from the creative life of an artist ( a super " Best Of" ).
