Boyce and Hart

Boyce and Hart were the American songwriter duo Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. As Boyce and Hart, they released their own recordings from 1967.

Tommy Boyce had made ​​a success as a musician and songwriter before working with Hart. The two wrote songs together in 1963 and had their first success with the single " Come a Little Bit Closer", which they had written for Jay and the Americans. However, the most successful period they experienced as a songwriter for the Monkees, for which they wrote such hits as " Last Train to Clarksville ," " I'm Not Your Stepping Stone " or " Valerie ".

When the Monkees ended the collaboration, they started in 1967 as a duo Boyce & Hart to publish their songs themselves. With " I Wonder What She 's Doing Tonite " they also had a Top Twenty hit. In the late 1960s, they separated, as a songwriter, but came back together in 1975 when they still went on a tour with the ex- Monkees Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz under the name Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart.
