Boyd Gordon

Boyd Gordon ( * October 19, 1983 in Unity, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 when the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.83 m wide center began his career in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League with the Red Deer Rebels, with which he could win the Memorial Cup in 2001. In his final junior season in 2003 also he was in the WHL East First All-Star Team. NHL Entry Draft 2002 Gordon was eventually selected as 17 in the first round of the Capitals.

During the 2003/ 04 season, the right-handed shooter made ​​his NHL debut for the Capitals. However, until 2006, and during the 2004/ 05 lockout season Gordon also played again and again in the AHL farm team of Washington, with the Hershey Bears, he won the 2006 Calder Cup, the championship of the American Hockey League. On 1 July 2011 he signed a contract for two years with the Phoenix Coyotes. He then agreed in July 2013 on a three year contract with the Edmonton Oilers.
