Boys Don't Cry (band)

Boys Do not Cry was a British music group and a One Hit Wonder of the 1980s. It consisted of the members of Nick Richards ( vocals), Brian Chatton (keyboards), Nico Ramsden (guitar ), Mark Smith ( bass) and Jeff Seopardie (drums).

Nick Richards, as head and lead singer of the group, was the owner of the thriving Maison Rouge studios in London and took the only big hit of the formation I Wanna Be a Cowboy 1986 without the ulterior motive of a wider marketing. This changed when the band of a DJ in the Limelight Club in New York was played. The group received a contract with Profile Records and the single was a success, reaching number 12 on the U.S. charts.

In 1988 the second album Who The Am Damn Do You Think You Am, among others with a guest appearance by Phil Collins. The more commercial success did not materialize. In 1990, the group disbanded after disputes with their former label Atlantic Records.

1991 was their biggest hit yet again to the soundtrack of the film The Last Boy Scout - The goal is survival.
