BPitch Control

BPitch Control is a 1999 by Ellen Allien in Berlin based record label for electronic music.

History

The DJ and music producer Ellen Allien founded in 1999 after a series of parties BPitch Control as a platform for Berlin techno artist. One of the first artists of the label included not only Allien Paul Kalkbrenner (initially as Paul dB ), TokTok, Sascha Funke, Modeselektor and Autotune. The first publication was a volume. 01 titled EP with contributions from Rob Acid, Ellen Allien & Heiko Laux and Jammin 'Unit.

Since the mid- 2000s, the label was considered one of Berlin's most important techno labels.

Decisive 's notoriety helped the publications of the artist Paul Kalkbrenner. At least since the publication of the soundtrack for the film Berlin Calling, who joined in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the album charts, the label was known outside the techno scene a larger audience. In 2010, Kalkbrenner, however, separated by BPitch Control and founded his own label Paul Kalkbrenner music.

The label operates its own booking and artist agencies and also offers a range of merchandising and fashion items.

The CI of the label was heavily influenced by the designers of Scouting, which are responsible for the cover design, video and merchandising and fashion design.

In 2001 the sub-label was founded playground and launched in 2005 with another sublabel Memo to life, appeared on the publications, among others, the artist Ben Klock, Zander VT, Lee Van Dowski and Mark Broom.
