BR-070

The BR -070 is a radially -scale Brazilian federal road that traverses the Central-West Region of Brazil from the Brazilian capital Brasília to the west. It leads from the Federal District by the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso. It ends just before the border with Bolivia in Porto Corixó (municipality Caceres -MT). The longest part of the road passes through the typical central Brazil savannas. In Mato Grosso leads north along the Pantanal, one of the largest inland wetlands in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The BR -070 goes from east to west, along with others, by the following localities:

  • Itaberaí, southern branch of the GO- 070 to Goiânia
  • Goiás Velho
  • Itapirapuã, northern branch of the GO- 070 after Aruanã

  • Barra do Garças ( Mato Grosso )
  • Primavera do Leste
  • Campo Verde
  • Cuiabá
  • Cáceres ( MT)
  • San Matías (Bolivia )

Its length is 1333.3 km (for comparison: the longest German street, the A7 has 945.6 km ).
