Braccio da Montone

Andrea Fortebracci called Braccio da Montone (* 1368 in Perugia, † 1424 in L' Aquila ) was an Italian condottieri.

He was a rival of Muzio Sforza Attendolo; both died in 1424 within a few weeks, their sons, leaving behind the feud. Braccio was 1416 lord of Perugia and controlled short, the city of Rome. He was killed at the siege of L' Aquila, which he undertook on behalf of the king Ladislaus of Naples.
