Brackett (crater)

8.87

Brackett is a small impact crater near the southeastern edge of Mare Serenitatis. It is a so-called ghost crater, which was covered by a lava flow and only shows an annular track within the surrounding Mare. The easiest way to watch him at oblique incidence of light, since it is otherwise difficult to detect. Its southern border touches almost the grooves of the system Rimae Pliny. To the west of the ridge of the dorsum Nicol runs to the north.
