Brackish marsh

A brackish marsh is the name for a march whose sediments were formed in the brackish water zone. It is often low in carbonates, as in the brackish zone occur little shells and hence little limestone is retarded. The brackish marsh is not an independent ground type more, but will be added to the other marsh soils; often the clothes march. Surfaces are usually found directly on Geestrand or in the vicinity of river mouths.
