Brad Budde

Brad Edward Budde ( born May 9, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, United States) is a former American football player. He played in the National Football League ( NFL) with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Playing career

College career

Brad Budde is the son of former NFL player's professionals and the Kansas City Chiefs Ed Budde. He attended the High School in Kansas City and studied after finishing school from 1976 to 1979 at the University of Southern California. Throughout his career, he came as a starter at the position of a Guards used. In 1978 he won the national championship with his college team. In all game years Budde won all four Bowl games with his team. In 1979 Budde was elected to the All-American. He also received in the same year the Lombardi Award. The press agency UPI elected him Line Player of the Year.

Professional career

Budde was drafted in 1980 by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round in 11th place. Head coach of the team was Marv Levy. Levy and his successor John Mackovic failed to form out of the team, a top team. It was only in 1986 succeeded Budde with the Chiefs in the Play Offs collect. Already in the first round, however, you had to admit defeat Jets with 35:15 to New York. After the 1986 season Budde was fired by the Chiefs. He then sat out a year and then tried to get a professional contract with the Los Angeles Raiders. He was there but no longer prevail.

Honors

Brad Budde was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1998. In 2010, the recording was followed in the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.

After the NFL

Budde is married and has two children. He trains today on business executives and lives in California.
