Brad Fast

Brad Fast ( born February 21, 1980 in Fort St. John, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at Anyang Halla Ice Hockey League in Asia under contract.

Career

Almost Brad began his career in 1994 in his native city at the Fort St. John Flyers in a unterklassigen junior league in British Columbia. Two years later he was hired by the Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League. For this the defensive player completed three good seasons before he decided to study this and graduated from Michigan State University in 1999. Over the next four years continued his hockey career almost continuously along with his studies and went to the University team of MSU, the Michigan State Spartans in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association on the ice. NHL Entry Draft 1999, he was selected in the third round at position 84 of the Carolina Hurricanes. During this time the Canadians won several times the championship of the CCHA and was considered due to its performance with several individual honors. Thus was chosen, among other things to the First All -Star team in the league and has been awarded as the best defensive defender of the league Nearly 2003. Even during the 2002/ 03 season, he completed his first games as a professional for the Lowell Lock Monsters, the former farm team the Hurricanes in the American Hockey League and was standing at end of season seven appearances in the AHL to book.

Even during the 2003/ 04 season he was first used on April 4, 2004 in a game of the National Hockey League. In the game against the Florida Panthers, he scored just before the end of the game, scoring the 6-6 when he beat Roberto Luongo in goal for the Panthers. This was the last game in the history of the NHL, which ended in a draw. Fast is one of four players (together with Rolly Huard, Dean Morton and Raymie Skilton ) in the history of the league, who scored on his only use in the NHL to score. In the following season the defender was mainly for the Lowell Lock Monsters in use, along with reinforced it. Against end of the season and in the playoffs, the Florida Everblades in the ECHL

In August 2005, he signed as a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Kings, for whom he never played, however, and instead the entire season with their farm team, which spent Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League. Following is almost decided to move to Europe and accepted an offer of SCL Tigers, who played for the Canadians in the National League A. After one year of exposure followed the ERC Ingolstadt in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Even there it did not keep him longer than one season and almost signed for season 2008/ 09 a contract with the South Korean club Anyang Halla Ice Hockey League in Asia, with whom he won the championship of the Asia League Ice Hockey 2010 and 2011. In July 2011, he decided to end his playing career.
