Brad Sucks

Brad Sucks is a Canadian pop / rock band. It was founded in 2001 by Brad Turcotte (born 14 November 1976) and was one of the first bands that made the use of free music distribution in the sense of free software.

Turcotte published the first completely self-produced single " Brad Sucks One" in 2001 on his website. He published it as open-source music, so put the individual components (audio files) that make up composed the song free on the Internet.

Turcotte waived many rights to his music, which the free distribution through social networks and open-source enabled music portals and thus contributed to the rapid success of his music. In 2004 he contributed a new sound scheme for the instant messenger pidgin.

The album " Out of It " was released on September 8, 2008. On 1 December 2008 published Turcotte in a short message on his website that Spence and McGarvy have left the band.

Brad Turcotte is leading the project since then as a solo artist continues, which is reflected in the newer songs, as they rely heavily on electronic sounds. On November 2, 2012, the third studio album Guess Who's A Mess was released after a long time.
