Brad Turner (director)

Brad Turner ( * in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada ) is a Canadian director and producer.

Life and achievements

Turner graduated from the Television Arts Program at HB Beal Secondary School, a high school in the Canadian city of London, Ontario. He has a brother who was a pilot. Turner has been involved in over sixty productions and is mainly active as a director of television series. In the real-time series 24 starring Kiefer Sutherland, he is also a producer. The film director, he led in the thriller The Inspectors - Torn evidence (2000) with Louis Gossett Jr. and the Science - fiction movie Species III (2004) with Robin Dunne and Natasha Henstridge.

2004 Turner won the Gemini Award for his direction in the miniseries Human Cargo. In the years 1987, 1988, 1992, 1996, 1998 and 2000, a total of six times, he was nominated for the Canadian Television Award. The Directors Guild of Canada awarded him the 2004 DGC Craft Award and the DGC Team Award for the miniseries Human Cargo. 2005 Turner for best director in the drama series The Collector was nominated for a Leo Award. In 2006 he received for 24 as best drama series Emmy, shared with Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Kiefer Sutherland, Michael Loceff, Jon Cassar and others.
