Brad Walker (athlete)

Brad Walker ( born June 21, 1981 in Aberdeen, South Dakota) is an American track and field athlete and world champion in 2007 in the pole vault. After the silver medal win at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005, he won at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow in 2006 and at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka.

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Walker went into the race as favorite. He failed, however, already in the qualifying three times its initial height 5.65 meters, so he could not participate in the Olympic final battle because of his somersaults Nullo.
