Brades

Brades (also Brades Estate ) is the seat of government of the British overseas territory of Montserrat. After a series of eruptions of the volcano Soufriere Hills, which began on July 18, 1995, the capital Plymouth was officially abandoned in 1997.

Since then, the provisional seat of government of Montserrat is located in Brades in the extreme northwest of the island. However, de jure is also the capital of Plymouth, as no new capital was determined.
