Brading

Brading is an English town on the Isle of Wight. The town is first mentioned in 683, and received city rights in 1285. In the Middle Ages and the early modern period it was mainly because of its port of importance.

Roman Villa

The place has a special celebrity by a Roman villa which was discovered in 1879 and excavated here in the following years. There were many mosaics, including one with the unique representation of a man with cock head. The villa is open to visitors.

Traffic

The main road from Ryde to Sandown Brading also performs as the railway line from Iceland Ryde Shanklin.
