Bradley Carnell

Bradley Carnell ( born January 21, 1977 in Johannesburg) is a South African former football player.

Career

The linksfüßige midfielder began his footballing career at the South African Wits University Johannesburg, from 1997, he played for the Premier soccer league club Kaizer Chiefs in his hometown.

VfB Stuttgart

Carnell was discovered in 1997 at the Kaizer Chiefs by Dirk Dufner, who was within his legal education in South Africa and there was attention to Carnell. After Dufner under coach Winfried Schaefer in the management of the German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart worked later, Carnell was finally taken after a trial of the Stuttgart under contract. In his first Bundesliga season Carnell denied then 20 games in which he was able to achieve two goals, and labeled with the meantime relegation VfB eleventh place of the final table. The following season Carnell was then in with a goal in 24 games to reach the Intertoto Cup before he played in the season 2000 /01 in 20 stakes again against the relegation of Swabia. However, due to several injuries lost Carnell below his place in the Stuttgart team and graduated in the 2001/ 02 season only twelve, one year later, even just six inserts for VfB, which he then left in the direction of Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

Also in Mönchengladbach Carnell could not establish itself as a regular in the series. In the 2003 /04 season he played only 18 games, a year later he even came only six inserts for Borussia

Karlsruher SC and Hansa Rostock

In January 2005, Carnell moved to Karlsruher SC in the 2nd Bundesliga. In this, the South Africans developed continuously to a service provider, completed in the second half first 13 games, and in the following season 2005/ 06 by 23 games before he played a determining role in 2007 with six goals in 29 missions to the rise of KSC in the Bundesliga. Partly as a result of injuries he got in the following two seasons only 28 Bundesliga games. After the KSC was relegated after the 2008 /09 season in the Bundesliga, he left the club and joined the second division rivals Hansa Rostock.

With Rostock Carnell occupied by a total of 19 missions to the end of the season 2009/10 on the 16th place in the table and thus had two relegation matches against Ingolstadt against relegation compete in the 3rd league. This team lost Carnells, an increase from first time in the third division.

SuperSport United

In July 2010, Carnell moved back to his home to SuperSport United. On 26 August 2011, he announced his retirement from football business.

National

Carnell could recommend for the national team of his home country due to its performance at VfB Stuttgart and took this part in both Africa Cup 2002 in Mali and at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. Although he retired in the World Cup with his team after three preliminary round inserts, but Carnell was henceforth fixed to the circle of national team of his country and came in numerous friendship and qualifiers used.

For taking place in his home country South Africa World Cup 2010 Carnell was not nominated.
