Bradley F. Granger

Bradley Francis Granger ( born March 12, 1825 Lowville, Lewis County, New York, † November 4, 1882 in Ann Arbor, Michigan ) was an American politician. Between 1861 and 1863 he represented the state of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Bradley Granger attended the public schools of his home. After a subsequent study of law and its made ​​in 1847 admitted to the bar he began in Tecumseh (Michigan) to work in his new profession. Later he transferred his residence and his law firm to Ann Arbor.

Politically, Granger was a member of the Republican Party, founded in 1854. In the congressional elections of 1860 he was the first electoral district of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William Alanson Howard on March 4, 1861. Until March 3, 1863, he was able to complete a term in Congress. This was marked by the events of the Civil War.

After his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives to Bradley Granger retired from politics. In the following years he practiced as a lawyer again. He died on 4 November 1882 in Ann Arbor.
