Bradley Smith (motorcyclist)

Bradley Smith ( born November 28, 1990 in Oxford, England ) is a British motorcycle racer.

Career

Smith collected as a graduate of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy under Alberto Puig racing experiences in the 125 cc class of the Spanish Championship, before he started for the Repsol Honda Team in the motorcycle world championship in 2006. His first season he finished on the 19th place and was named Rookie of the Year of the eighth liter class. In a second season in the 125cc World Championship Smith reached constant the points, took the third place in the French Grand Prix at Le Mans for the first time on the podium, reaching in the overall standings to tenth place.

For the 2008 season changed Bradley Smith to Team Polaris World 125 and drove from then on an Aprilia. He was out of season three second and bring out a third place and won the sixth World Cup place. The following season, the Briton denied the Bancaja Aspar team of four -time world champion Jorge Martínez. At the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, he won his first Grand Prix victory, the second followed in Italy. He also was second four times and three times third. The World Cup, he finished second with 65.5 points behind his Spanish team-mate Julián Simón.

In the 2010 season Bradley Smith was able to pull a win, a second place and four third places and was awarded 223 points in fourth position overall.
