The known about 200 species worldwide of Bradynobaenidae belong to the insect order Hymenoptera of the ( Hymenoptera). Within this they are in the superfamily Vespoidea, the wasps -like, in the subordination of the waist wasps ( Apocrita ). The animals do have stridulating organs independently of other relatives developed that can still be found among the representatives of the Typhoctinae and Chyphotinae. The Apterogyninae and Bradynobaeninae but they have lost again afterwards. Little is known about the likely parasitic lifestyle. It is assumed that in a way that rolling spiders could serve as hosts.
