Bradytroph

Bradytrophic means with a slow metabolism. Bradytrophic tissue are supplied mainly by diffusion from the surrounding liquid, and have few or no capillaries.

Examples of bradytrophic tissues are cartilage, ocular lens and cornea, heart valves or the inner wall parts of larger vessels.
