Braehead Clan

The Braehead Clan are a 2010 founded Hockey Club from Renfrewshire in Scotland with gaming operations in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. The home games are played in the 4,000 -seat end Braehead Arena.

History

As part of the expansion of the Elite Ice Hockey League, which has been increased for 2010/11 season from eight to ten teams, was the inclusion of the newly formed club in the EIHL. In May 2010, player-coach Bruce Richardson was introduced as the head coach of the Braehead Clan.

As signings among other Canadians Tim Wedderburn, Jon Landry and Dominic Noël they were signed. After completion of the debut season Bruce Richardson returned to Canada, the vacant position of head coach was occupied in July 2011 with former NHL player Drew Bannister, who was also engaged as a player-coach.
