Brahin (meteorite)

The meteorite was Brahin 1807 in Homelskaja Woblasz (Russian Empire ) found by farmers.

It was after the discovery of Krasnoyarsk in 1749, the second meteorite find in Russia. The main mass weighed about 850 kg. The meteorite comes from the asteroid belt and is as Pallasite, a group of stone -iron meteorites classified.

Chemical composition: 36.5% SiO2; 13.7% FeO; 43.2 % MgO; 0.3 % MnO; 3.82% P2O5
