Brahlstorf

Brahlstorf is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). Since 1 August 2004, the community is part of the Office Boizenburg country located in the not office belonging to the city Boizenburg / Elbe, before Brahlstorf belonged to the Official Vellahn. The municipality is divided into the districts Brahlstorf and Düssin.

Geography

The easternmost municipality in the district is located within the Natural Park Mecklenburgisches Elbe Valley and bordered to the south by the Lower Saxony Amt Neuhaus. Through the municipal area flows the springing at Vellahn Brahlstorfer Bach south towards brews. Brahlstorf has a stopping point for local trains on the railway route Hamburg-Berlin and was until 1972 the starting point of the light railway Neuhaus- Brahlstorf.

History

Brahlstorf first mentioned as Bralistorp records in Isfriedschen partition treaty of 1194. From 15 September 1944 to March 1, 1945 there was a subcamp of the Neuengamme concentration camp in the district Düssin.

Economy

The community is dominated by agriculture. In addition to the livestock is especially the asparagus cultivation spread.

In the district Düssin a native of the 1913 barn was converted into a production facility for shoes in 2007. The running shoe manufacturer lung produces high-quality running shoes here. Production began with five employees, an expansion of up to 50 employees is considered possible.
